Underway...

The crew left Brewer Capri in Port Washington, NY Tuesday morning after taking on some fuel. Destination: anchorage at Sandy Hook.

It's been a long time since we have cruised through New York harbor.

She's beautiful even in the fog. Looks like we're really doing this...

Hey guys!

Congrats on the new ship! You'll be hard to miss on the waterway! If your cruise plans take you by Baltimore, we're at our "home" base in Middle River, you're more than welcome to stop in for a visit, can arrange for dockage here. Best wishes for a successful trip! Gotta be exciting!

Glad you made it to Deltaville in good shape. How's the moving going? Are the crew pulling their weight (at least as far as food, treats, and toys go)?

Would appreciate your recommendation on which harness has worked out best for your labs given I like the idea of mine wearing something similar if you've had good experience with a particular design or brand.

We did several blog entries on the harnesses last year:

While I still really like the one that Dylan uses, the rings rusted very badly after 16 weeks in the Bahamas using it almost every day in the water. So still no "perfect" solution. But they are an important safety device...
