The Busiest Crew Member

We've told you that Dylan loves dolphins and that his job while underway is to maintain a constant watch to alert the other crew members of impending dolphin attacks. Dylan takes this job very seriously and never falters. Any time the boat is underway you can find him making his rounds - check the port-side bow, check the starboard-side bow, look through each of the hawseholes, fly down the starboard side to check the stern, check the port-side stern, fly up the port-side and start all over. He does this without stopping for the entire cruise. 90% of the time he finds nothing but then, well, see for yourself.

Loved the video of Dylan!! Sorry you guys are heading back northward again. It's much cooler today! Any chance you'll come to the west coast of Florida?

Karen, Roger and Louie,

So glad you enjoyed Dylan. We get to enjoy him every day! : )

The plan is to be on the west coast of Florida next year as we finish the Great Loop. We know how boating and plans go, so you'll just have to stay tuned...

Awesome video! I need to train our German Shephard (Oz) to spot dolphin for me! What kind of harnesses are those? That looks like the perfect thing to help Oz get on and off the boat out of the water!

The harnesses were our best find last year. They are made by Kong, loop around their chest and belly, have two clicks to make it easier to get on and off, are very sturdy, and have a terrific handle on the back that is handy for all sorts of things, including helping to lift them on and off the boat. Anytime they are in a moving boat they are wearing their harnesses.
